Bugis Junction

Bugis Junction

The Bugis Junction is an integrated development, consisting of a shopping mall, office tower, and hotel located at 200 Victoria St, Singapore 188021. The building was built by Parco Holding, one of the most prestigious contractors in Singapore.

The project involved redeveloping three pre-war shophouse blocks. In addition to the office building and retail mall, it features a glass-encased shopping mall and connects Bugis Street to Malay Street.

You can find four types of restaurants here, including a Chinese restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, and an international cafe. The nearby Artfolio Gallery and L’ecrin Boutique Singapore are also worth checking out. If you’re a foodie, you’ll love the variety of local dishes and international dishes served at the cafe. There are also several other dining options in the area, such as a few hawker centers.

The shopping mall at Bugis Junction is a popular destination for tourists, because it’s connected to the nearby Bugis MRT station. You can also find many specialty stores in the mall, including a 1$ shop. Lastly, you’ll find Raffles Hospital at 130 meters.

All of these establishments are close to Bugis Junction. There’s something for everyone in this upscale shopping district. Learn more about MINT Museum of Toys here.

The first phase of the project was completed in July 1995, and featured a glass-enclosed shopping mall, an office tower, and 3 blocks of pre-war shophouses. The building was the first glass-covered shopping mall in Singapore, and it was also linked to the Bugis MRT station.

The mall included a department store, an arcade, a food court and over 200 specialty shops. In 2005, the project was sold to CapitaLand.

After CapitaLand took over the project, an indoor bridge connecting to the adjoining Bugis+ across Victoria Street was built to provide more shopping revenues. In 2012, the shopping complex underwent refurbishment works, which included converting a cinema into a restaurant and a gym. In 2016, the video games arcade was replaced by an electronics and IT hub.

With these renovations, the property is now more than 100 percent leased.

Bugis Junction is located in the Civic and Cultural District of Singapore. It offers direct connectivity to the MRT station, as well as public transportation routes throughout the city.
